The Bed and Breakfast on White Rock Creek sits on the north edge of Waco, Texas city limits due North of downtown Wacos. We are located 2.5 miles West of I-35.
Our inn is 5 miles from downtown Waco.
Our B&B is located 6 miles from the Silos at Magnolia Market.
We are located 3.5 miles from Homestead Heritage and Artisan Craft Village. The inn is right in between Homestead Heritage an Artisan Craft Village and The Silos- Magnolia Market.
We are located 5.2 miles from Baylor University
We are located 5.5 miles from the Mammoth National Monument Site.
Yes! Many guests have had dinners delivered by Uber eats or local pizza locations.

Camera Park and the Camera Park Zoo are 5 miles from the bed and breakfast.

The two restaurants that we recommend for an evening meal that are the closest to the Bed and Breakfast on White Rock Creek is Heitmiller’s Steakhouse. Heitmiller’s is 2.4 miles from the Bed and Breakfast. The next closest is Cafe Homestead and it’s 4.3 miles from the Bed and Breakfast on White Rock Creek. Other than these two, there are several chain restaurants, restaurants, and fast food restaurants near Heitmiller’s.  See our things to do page for a more comprehensive list.

There are two package stores within 2.5 miles. There are also two grocery stores and a Sam’s Club that has a fairly good wine selection.
There is a large new convenience store 1.5 miles from the Bed and Breakfast on White Rock Creek.

The two that I think have a really cool atmosphere and great drinks are Z’s at Curry and The Blue Dog Wine and Martini Bar. Z’s at Curry is in the downtown Waco, Texas area.  The Blue Dog Wine and Martini Bar is on N Valley Mills Drive.  For more suggestions, see our things to do page.

Some of the best parking is near the Main North Gate of Baylor Bear Football at McLean Stadium on the Baylor University Campus is 5.2 miles from the Bed and Breakfast on White Rock Creek.  Our inn is situated to give you a hassle free, traffic free, jam free pathway to the stadium.

The Waco Regional Airport is the closest airport at 8.3 miles to the inn. You would have to make a transfer at DFW InternationalAirport. The DFW international airport is 107 miles from the inn. We are located 121 miles from Austin’s Bergstrom airport.

Waco, Texas is typically moderate in the winter. You may have an Arctic freeze one day followed by spring like weather the next. It’s unpredictable. Spring and fall are my favorite times of year. The summer can be uncomfortable to some, but Retha and I have grown up here are used to it and accept it.
For the most part, Waco, Texas is casual. If you’re visiting Waco, I would expect you to bring nice clean clothes. There are a couple of restaurants that you need a membership to dine in, and those would expect you to wear business attire.
Waco, Texas is not known for great public transportation. Uber and Lyft are everywhere. The nearest Amtrak station is 25 minutes west of Waco in McGregor, Texas. The city of Waco does provide a shuttle from the Silos at Magnolia Market over to Magnolia Table, stopping at some little shops along the way.

There is free parking in downtown Waco, Texas and around Magnolia Market.  Magnolia Market is across the street from First Baptist Church and with a $10 contribution to the church’s city ministry, you may park right at the entrance of Magnolia Market.
